This bead displays the five flags that represent Dauphin Island and the dates which they controlled the island. French 1699-1763, British 1763-1780, Spanish 1780-1813, Confederate 1861-1864, American 1813-1861 and 1865 to the present . In the middle of all the flags is Dauphin Island 1699. Each flag measures 1 1/4" by 1 1/2"
